There's a glut of milk tea stations in Metro Manila. When I toured provinces in Luzon, I also managed to see a lot of them spring up as new businesses along highways in the middle of sleepy towns and emerging cities. In my travels, I consider the following the milk teas to consider tasting:
Green Coffee's Salted Milk Tea With Cheese This is not for everyone but for those who want their milk tea with a kick of craziness. The rock salt is sprinkled on top with the cheese. You either drink it without mixing, but I suggest you do if you're not that crazy.
Bubble Milk Tea's Royal Milk Tea Flavor Royal Milk Tea is what I always order whenever I frequent Bubble Milk Tea for a quench of a cold concoction. The pearls are always cooked well. The consistency of firmness and softness are always there. A drink of this is quite heavy on the tummy so I usually order this on an empty stomach.
A Gan Tea's Hawaiian Zest This refreshing drink from Taiwan's A Gan Tea is infectious in its fruity taste. Made from Jasmine tea mixed with bits and flavors of orange, lemon, lime, apple and kiwi. It's quite zesty and a good kick after having pasta or cake. It's got tremendous citrus content that I recommend you take it after you've gobbled down on something heavy as this will wash it down for you deliciously.
Y Tree Milk Tea Hub's Mango Milk Tea I seldom order a milk tea with fruit flavors. Since I love the taste of mango one afternoon, I decided to give Y Tree's mango concoction. I loved how the cream slowly mixes with the rest of the drink. If you're in a hurry, you can turn the whole drink upside down 2-3 times.
