Some stuff take us back to our childhood. Movies are some of them. Old movies that I’ve seen as a kid were always about adventures to unknown lands and pursuits of hidden treasure.
I did not outgrow the mystery attached to those movies. Every time a familiar one would show up, I’d spend the time to watch it again no matter how predictable the scenes are already.
For me, an enchanting movie that does not disappoint every single viewing is Steven Spielberg’s Goonies. It’s a story about kids in a small town that’s endangered of being redone so they have the uncertainty of domicile. The fantasy of ending up underground and finding a hidden treasure to save their town appealed to me. And it still does to this day.
