I grew up with a hefty diet of hotdog and corned beef. My formative years were of tasteful meal times. As I became an adult, of course, I leveled up to healthier food and other alternatives that tasted as good as my childhood favorites. However, an adult will always search for a comfort food and once in a while indulge. I would have returned to the old hotdog and corned beef brand that I used to love as a kid and teenager but I discovered a better one and it's called Virginia. I learned that Virginia is a strong brand in Cebu and neighboring provinces in the Philippines. It's only last year that the people behind it made it noticeable in Luzon which I'm thankful for because having a brand option is always healthy. Virginia can be spotted in Robinson's malls, particularly in the supermarket section. Accessible, right? I brought home some of the V-goodies and had my household try them out. My mom opined that the hotdog did not shrink as much as the other leading brand when being cooked on the frying pan. She liked the evidence of not being cheated which always works for the rest of the family members LOL! Remember that the taste of the food is influenced greatly by the one cooking it and we don't want a sweet and sour hotdog. As for the corned beef, my dad reckoned that it tastes as good as the other leading brand which explains why he couldn't tell the difference.
