Every morning is a different one for musing. Not all days, for that matter, are the same. The daily grind may sometimes feel endless but each passing day is still unique to the last second. You may be a creature of habit but you never do exactly the same thing like you're in a Groundhog Day state. This is why life is unpredictable because we really are creatures capable of surprising ourselves.
Another thing that's surprising is the first time knowing that a Creator who is as unique as we are is the same every single day of our life. God does not change who He is. He does not falter. He promises something and fulfills it. To the very end. He is in control no matter what happens.
Much like being aboard a train that passes through a tunnel, your view of the scenery can be consistent for a long period of time and you are aware that darkness is upon you. Do you jump out of the train just because the environment suddenly becomes different? Of course, you stay put until the train sees the end of the tunnel and you are enveloped in light again. God is like that. He does not conform to us. He is in charge even if we feel He is not.
Take my morning coffee as an example. I prepare my caffeine fix religiously every morning when I wake up from bed. The taste seems to be the same. The mix of sugar and coffee granules I make are always measured with the same teaspoon everyday. Just for kicks, there's a day when I pour down a ready 3-in-1 mix. I'm capable of changing my mind with what I do and how I do it because I'm human. God, however, is not... lest I forget I'm alone in my journey in life and have no one to welcome me into forever when I pass away. God is more than my life yesterday, today, and all the days to come. In His constant love, I find comfort.
Isaiah 54:10
The mountains may disappear. and the hills may come to an end. but my love will never disappear; my promise of peace will not come to an end.
