What's my motivation in life? What inspires me to wake up in the morning and get my body moving? Is there something that still gives me a sense of wonderment when I open my eyes in bed?
These are questions that occupy my mind on a daily basis. You see, it's healthy to ask yourself questions and not be afraid to know the answer. I used to have ready answers in my mind called mindsets. However, they were not able to satisfy my pursuit for knowing. They only led to making me worry about whether or not my plans would push through or not.
Examining what motivates or inspires me to live has become a daily act of prayer for me in the morning. I am no longer afraid to ask knowing that I was once promised something:
Psalm 18:2
The Lord is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.
