Worrying for me was an absolute pastime. I knew that it was killing me. I figured that if I worried from time to time I'd be able to plan my next course of action even before a problem started. Little did I know that the act of worrying plagued my daily routine. I was always upset when things weren't going my way. My anger was usually displaced. Innocent people around me got most of the brunt of my terrible moments.
In the process of worrying, I depended on turning to the daily horoscope and astrology for decisions that I needed to make. It started as a "passing fancy" as I would often term it to friends who laughed at my passion for seeking the stars for direction. I was not bitter at all. I was even more encouraged to convert them into my so-called passing fancy. However, the fancy did not fade away. No, it was not temporary. The beginning of relying on astrology became a craft for me.

It was not until I got bedridden for a severe case of sinusitis that rendered me helpless to rely on anything or anyone, not even myself, but a supreme Creator. Severely dehydrated and anemic, I turned to God for direction. The credo that he passed on to me is that of Mary's -- God's perfect will to be done unto me. I realised more and more since then how God allows me to have the gift of life for a day to add to my wonderful lifetime.
Proverbs 3: 5-6
Trust in the Lord with all your heart and don't depend on your own understanding. Remember the Lord in all you do, and he will give you success.
